The bread symbolises
the broken body of Christ, which was wounded and broken on the cross for our

The wine symbolises
the blood of Christ, which was poured out on the cross to take away our sins.

Christians eat the bread and drink the wine?
To show that they are
partakers of the blessings which Christ obtained for them through His death on
the cross.

requirements before taking the bread and wine?
Only truly born again
believers are permitted to take of the bread and wine. Also a time of personal
examination is required so that we can confess any known sin in our lives.

65. What do you
believe will happen when your life on earth comes to an end?
When my body dies my
spirit and soul will return unto God, then I will dwell with the Saviour for
evermore.

anything else to happen?
Yes, my body will rise
again and be reunited with my spirit and soul when the Lord Jesus Christ returns
to earth to gather His people to Himself.

the same place?
No, those who believe
in Jesus Christ go to dwell with God and His angels in Heaven, but those who
refuse to believe will be cast into Hell with the devil and his demons.

angels?
They are spirit beings
that wait upon, serve and worship God in Heaven. They are sometimes sent to
assist believers on earth.

demons?
They are evil spirits
who used to be angels but were cast out of Heaven when they sinned against God.
They are used by Satan to tempt men to disobey God.

70. Are not al
these spirits, both good and evil, under the dominion of Christ?
Yes, Christ is Lord
over all. The angels do His bidding, but the demons can do nothing unless He
permits them to.
