Islam has Fallen!
It may come as a shock to you to read such a headline, but I
believe that the Bible clearly teaches that we will see the same on the front
pages of daily newspapers one day. Islam is such a great and powerful religion
and enemy of the Gospel, how could it ever fall? What we are going to discuss in
this article I think will amaze you and reveal just how great our God, Jehovah
Jesus, is.
Without doubt we are standing on the threshold of the soon
return of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Millennial Kingdom. Each day’s events
around the world point to the fact that something momentous is about to take
place. Of course, the Devil will trick the majority into accepting the
Antichrist as their messiah, but God’s plans and purposes are still on
schedule. For the Antichrist to control the world he will have to unite all
religious traditions into a New Age ecumenical organisation. This is obviously
in process today. But when Jesus returns all men will have to acknowledge that
He is Lord. “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
(Philippians 2:10-11). This means that every Moslem will have to bow their knee
to Jesus and declare Him to be the true God.
But there is more to the fall of Islam than this. It is easy
to interpret the above Scripture to mean that everyone will be forced to say
that Jesus is Lord before they are doomed to Hell. If I said that the Moslems
will want to worship Jesus as God and to serve Him faithfully, this would put a
different light on the matter. There is coming something that will cause the
Muslim to see the error and devilishness of Islam. They will see that without
doubt Mohammed was a liar and a trickster. It is my opinion that the Antichrist
will weaken the faith of the Moslem world by promoting himself as God. I further
believe that when they see that this false messiah fails them and that their god
‘Allah’ has not come to their deliverance, they will turn to what
Bible-believing Christians have been telling them for centuries - Jesus Christ
is Lord!
There appears to be a long way to go for this to happen. We
would have said the same about communism before the walls came down. I believe
that the fall of Islam will be sudden and that they will never return to
‘Allah’.
We must realise that ‘Allah’ is a false god, a demon who
continually deceived the desert dwellers throughout history. The sign of Islam
(and therefore of ‘Allah’) is the crescent moon (sometimes depicted with a
star). It is interesting to note that Diana, goddess of the ancient world, wore
a crescent moon on her head. She was the moon goddess mentioned in the Bible ~
“And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink
offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink
offerings unto her, without our men?” (Jeremiah 44:19). Diana was the goddess
of Ephesus (now in modern day Turkey). It is worthy of notice that Mary the
mother of Jesus was first declared to be the Queen of Heaven by a Church counsel
in Ephesus. You will remember also that the moon features very prominently on
statues and images of Mary. Islam will probably unite with the world church
through the mediation of the Catholic Church. You may be thinking that the word
‘Allah’ is just another word for god or just another name for our God. In
this you would be mistaken. ‘Allah’ is always capitalised. So no matter what
language it is placed within it remains a name rather than a title. Islam sees
‘Allah’ as the name of their god. A reference from the Quran should
illustrate this: “He has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the
flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than Allah has been
invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor
transgressing due limits, --then Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Sura
16:115 A.Yusuf Ali Translation.) To make the name ‘Allah’ become another
title or name of the Lord God of the Bible is utter foolishness. I was
interested to learn that The International Bible Society produced a version of
the Bible using this name throughout. The reference I am about to share with you
from Isaiah 12:2 will reveal how ridiculous and blasphemous it is to give our
God the name ‘Allah’. If we were to translate it back into English using the
name ‘Allah’ it would read: “Behold, Allah is my salvation; I will trust
and not be afraid: for the LORD Jehovah is my strength and my song; He also is
become my salvation.” You can see how confusing this would be to both Muslims
and Christians. The name ‘Allah’ is an Arabic word for a god which
eventually became the most important name for Mohammed’s god. The
International Bible Society could have used the Turkish word for God (Tanri) but
chose to bend their knees to Allah rather than Jesus. The Compton’s
Interactive Encyclopaedia says, “Altogether there are about 750 million
Muslims around the world, though there are no precise statistics. Some estimates
range as high as 1 billion.” Seeing the strength and fundamentalism of Islam
in the newspapers and upon television it appears unbelievable that this religion
will fall and its followers turn to Christ.
I said at the beginning of this article that Islam will
fall. I want to take you to a very important portion of Scripture regarding
this. This is a prophecy concerning God’s dealings with the Egyptians and the
Assyrians. “And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know
the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a
vow unto the LORD, and perform it. And the LORD shall smite Egypt: He shall
smite and heal it: and they shall return even unto the LORD, and He shall be
intreated of them, and shall heal them. In that day shall there be a highway out
of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptians
into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. In that day
shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the
midst of the land: Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless saying, Blessed be Egypt
my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.”
(Isaiah 19:21-25). Today these are two great Islamic countries that are rarely
out of the news. Egypt has already made a peace treaty with Israel but are we to
believe that Assyria (modern day Iraq) will do the same? When one thinks of
Islam our minds automatically go to Saddam Hussein and Iraq. I want us to read
the same verses from the Living Bible (I am not promoting the use of this Bible
version but at this point it will serve to shed some more light on Isaiah’s
prophecy.) “In that day the Lord will make himself know to the Egyptians. Yes,
they will know the Lord and give their sacrifices and offerings to him; they
will make promises to God and keep them. The Lord will smite Egypt and then
restore her! For the Egyptians shall turn to the Lord and he will listen to
their plea and heal them. In that day Egypt and Iraq will be connected by a
highway, and the Egyptians and the Iraqi will move freely back and forth between
their lands, and they shall worship the same God. And Israel will be their ally;
the three will be together, and Israel will be a blessing to them. For the Lord
will bless Egypt and Iraq because of their friendship with Israel. He will say,
‘Blessed be Egypt, my people; blessed be Iraq, the land I have made; blessed
be Israel, my inheritance!” This can only mean one thing: Iraq and Egypt will
forsake Islam! There is coming a spiritual earthquake that will destroy the
foundations of all false religion including Islam. This is why Jesus came:
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the
works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8). The fall of Islam may seem far fetched at
the moment but Bible prophecy has an habit of coming to pass exactly as God
said. What a day that will be! We are responsible for sharing the Gospel with
the Muslim and other lost people.
