The Raising of Lazarus - John 11:1-57
Jesus was not unconcerned about Lazarus.
The timing of the miracle was correct (:4, 7).
The Impact of the miracle would be great (:9-10).
Lazarus was four days dead in the tomb.
The neighbourhood was alive with activity because of a dead man!
When Jesus arrives He speak of Life.
Resurrection and Life - No other way of salvation.
This is exactly what the world needs today (:24).
The Humility of Christ (:35).
Jesus wept = burst into tears.
Notice the complainers (:37).
Whatever you do is wrong in their eyes.
The Stone.
The smell.
The shout.
The sight.
Impossibilities are conceived in our own minds.
Nothing is impossible with God.
The crowd was gob-smacked (terrible expression).
Some believed! ... But (:46).
They saw the miracles ... but (12:9-11).
Jesus is an obstacle to religion.
Lazarus is an example of the need to be born again.
