The New Jerusalem (part 2) -Revelation 22:1-5
God provides everything we could need in eternity.
This River of Life is literal rather than symbolic.
Heaven is not a dreamy never-never land you know!
River flows from the Throne (singular).
Comes through Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
The river flows through the Tree of Life.
The same tree man lost in the garden (Genesis 2:9).
No death, no sickness, no pain - no sin!
The tree flourishes all year round (eternal).
Leaves are preventative medicine (Ezekiel 47:12).
This earth is under the curse because of sin (Genesis 3:17).
The ground and man cannot be cursed on New Earth.
Why? The presence of God is with man.
It was this presence which he lost in Eden.
Constant access to God.
We shall see God (Matthew 5:8).
We will bear His name, as His children, forever.
No night, no artificial light - we'll have the real thing.
This light is God's glory.
Imagine - no electricity bills, forever.

The Water of Life - Revelation 22:17
This sermon is based upon Spurgeon's Morning Devotional for June 13.
The Lord requires no payment for it (Isaiah 55:1).
All are invited by personal invitation.
Come just as you are, no need to dress yourself up.
Jesus gives Himself to the needy.
He gives the thirsty this water (John 10:14).
Do you remember those old street fountains / taps?
Imagine someone trying to find the slot for his credit card!
Rich and poor alike may drink freely.
Some good person put it there for you.
Someone else paid so you could drink freely.
The proud religionist will not drink it.
They want eternal life some other way.
Today we want our bottled water (Jeremiah 2:13).
But bottled water soon runs dry.
Come to Christ the way the dying thief did.
Salvation is free to you - it was costly for Jesus.
Receive this water of life with joy (Isaiah 12:3).
