The Book with Seven Seals - 5:1-14

We are dealing with the seven sealed scroll in this chapter.
The scroll/book is firmly in the hands of God.
We are also dealing with the one who is worthy to open it.
An angel calls for a worthy one to come forward.
No angel stepped forward.
No devil could step forward.
No man could step forward.
Not even John could step forward.
Is this a reason for his bitter tears?
Did he realise his own unworthiness?
No, there are no little gods in Heaven or on earth.
No one is even worthy enough to look upon the book.
One of the elders encouraged him to look unto Jesus.
The Jesus who is:
The Lion of Judah
The Root of David
The Messiah
The perfect man and Saviour of the world.
Because of this, He alone is worthy to unloose the seals.
John expected to see a Lion but saw a Lamb.
The Lamb (in human form now) took the scroll.
He alone can read it.
He alone can interpret it.
He alone can broadcast it via His churches.
Immediate worship breaks out!
Notice the prayers of the saints!
Our prayers are never forgotten by God.
A new song is sung.
They worshipped the Worthy one.
The whole of Heaven rejoiced.
Salvation is not for an elect few but for all who will believe.
True believers will reign with Christ.
They sang of His death, power, riches, wisdom, might, honour, glory and blessings.
How could they do this if He is not God?
The whole of creation appeared to erupt in praise.
We'll never tire worshipping Him!
The angelic beings offer their Amen.
The twenty-four elders worship the Lord again.
